• Entry fees are per person per event. Entry fees will not be refunded under any circumstance or transferred. All entry fees are inclusive of VAT.

• Please enclose your entry fee with your completed entry form. Cheques are to be made payable to bewater. Post dated cheques and entries without fees will not be accepted.

• Fees listed above are not inclusive of online processing fees (PayPal).  Paper entries are the same price. There is NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

A unique course taking place in the Marine Protected Area of Bergeggi, part of best blue water of the Med.
3 event distances are available: short, medium and long distance for all swimming abilities, from first timers to olympic champions.

Any swimmer can participate in the short distance (1800m), the medium (3500m) and the long distance race (6000m).


The particularity of this event is that spectators can follow the swimmers for the entire course from the headland in front of the island.

Experience the thrill of open water swimming, safe in the knowledge that expert kayakers and safety boats / jetskis will be with you every stroke of the way.
Entry price includes event pack, swim-cap and Finisher T-shirt.


Neoprene wetsuit is not required, but optional.​

The use of neoprene wetsuit is free & optional. The water is around 22° - 24° C.

No palms or other special tools are allowed (only particular cases will be considered by the Organization i.e. disabled swimmers).



The Timing will be taken by a professional company using electronic chips, which will be provided to each swimmer at the Registration phase.

How to proceed the Inscription

Payment Process

Payment by Direct Deposit/EFT

Once you have submitted your entry form and it has passed all the checks, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your entry.

You can print this email as an official receipt of your Inscription.

You also have the option to pay by Credit Card. Once your payment has been received your entry will be confirmed.



​Once you have completed and submitted the Inscription Form, you will be returned to this site, where your entry will be processed and you will see a page confirming the details of your entry.

 

Additional Information:
1. Payments are accepted via MasterCard or Visa credit cards
2. The prices quoted are in Euro
3. Once your entry has been processed your payment cannot be refunded
4. Your bank statement will reflect a charge from 'bewater'

Medical Certificate Notes



You can download a General Medical Certificate template HERE. You can/must then upload it, completed by your doctor, when you do the registration online.

Your medical certificate will be checked at the registration phase.



Entry Criteria and Notes



Swimmers who cannot swim 1600 metres in a pool in under 50 minutes are advised against entering.

 

The organisers reserve the right to accept or reject entries. Any special consideration must be applied for, before 15 August 2014. The Organisers reserve the right to limit entries in each event.

At registration collect your envelope, containing your timing chip.       You will also receive a swimming cap corresponding to you Event colour.

Your TIMING CHIP is very IMPORTANT: NO CHIP – NO RESULT!  The chip must be returned to the staff at the finish line.


PLEASE NOTE:  Ensure that you have the correct Chip allocated to you. Attach your Chip to your WRIST ONLY. DO NOT attach the Chip to your ankle.

SWIMMING CAPS

The races at SWIMTHEISLAND 2014 will be colour coded by caps.



The 1.8 km event will be PINK, the 3.5 km event will be YELLOW, the 6.0 km event will be WHITEthe 1.8 + 6.0 km event will be GOLD.
